Our Mission

Designing and overseeing the installation of a purpose-built storage shed for a Highland Estate.

GLM were asked by our client to design and obtain consents for the installation of a storage shed on a Highland Estate.

The Estate is at the foot of Quinag and extends from the mountain down to the loch.

Siting the shed was an important factor, and it was decided that it would be positioned away from the lodge on higher ground, with screening from a small wooded area. The shed is accessed via a gravel track.

The shed has three key areas: storage space for estate equipment and machinery, an integrated Fisher deer larder, and recreational space for use by the estate team and guests after a day on the hill.

Clad in local timber, the shed has a beautiful exterior that blends and harmonises with the surrounding natural environment.
