Union Street
Our Mission
GLM obtained consents and change of use to convert a Category B-listed office building on Union Street into three apartments for Seven Hills Property.

Union Street was a Category B-listed office space which Seven Hills Property had purchased with the prospect of converting it back into residential units.
GLM were appointed to sensitively design and project manage the development, including retaining the historic fabric wherever possible. Historic Environment Scotland had very much been in favour of returning the building back to residential use.
Interiors of these houses display fine surviving decorative schemes which were likely designed in 1804-6 by Robert Adam’s assistant Hugh Cairncross.
Original stone flags on the ground floor have been uncovered and restored and the stone stairs connecting Ground and Lower Ground were left intact and floored over. The conversion included a 3-bed ground floor flat, a 2-bed lower ground floor flat and a 1-bed also situated on the lower ground floor.
Each property has the high-quality finish expected from a Seven Hills Property development with new kitchens and bathrooms throughout.
