GLM Project Features On Scotland’s Home of the Year

GLM are delighted to share that one of our recent residential projects, Randolph Crescent, has featured on the popular BBC Scotland series Scotland’s Home of the Year. It’s a proud moment for our client, the GLM team, and everyone who had a hand in bringing the property renovation to life!

Nestled in the heart of Edinburgh’s West End, Randolph Crescent is a home that speaks to the seamless balance of heritage and contemporary living. When our clients came to us, their vision was clear—they wanted to create a warm, family home that celebrated the Georgian architecture of the property, while incorporating modern design and functionality in a thoughtful, refined way.

GLM provided our full architectural service, working closely with the client and contractor, True Build, to craft a sensitive and creative restoration. From the outset, we were committed to respecting the building’s history—preserving original details while introducing fresh, modern interventions that made the space feel lived-in and loved. The result is a beautifully curated home that feels timeless yet personally suited to the lives of its occupants.

Scotland’s Home of the Year showcases exceptional properties across the country, and Randolph Crescent stood out for its elegance, charm, and fantastic views. The show’s judges praised the home for its impressive sense of space, period detail, and the fantastic views across to Fife. GLM are particularly proud to see our work recognised on such a widely-viewed platform, but even more rewarding is seeing how the house is lived in, and loved, by our clients.

The success of Randolph Crescent lies in the trust between client and wider project team, GLM worked alongside Elliot & Co. Structural Engineers, Lynn Hill Garden Design, and True Build – Main Contractor, who together shared the same vision and commitment to doing justice to such a historically rich property.
