GLM Designs New Office for Polar Academy Charity

GLM was delighted to be involved in the design and build of a new office/storage facility for the Polar Academy Charity. The mission of the Polar Academy Charity is to unlock the vast potential within the ‘invisible and forgotten’ young adults in our education system – those who are drifting through the school system, with very little help from anyone, very often victims of bullying/intimidation – and turn them into positive role models for their community and families by taking them on life changing expeditions to the Arctic.

The Polar Academy’s first expedition is due to start this Friday. Craig Mathieson, head of the Polar Academy, will be heading off to the Arctic with 10 school children on a life changing expedition. His aim is to turn these children into true role models who will go on to have a wide ranging and positive impact on their communities.  These children will go on to inspire thousands more by retelling their experience through talks/shows carried out in various Scottish schools/communities.

You can follow The Polar Academy’s expedition over the next two weeks on social media – https://www.facebook.com/thepolaracademy
