GLM Attends RICS Dinner in support of Chairman and GLM MD, Ian McKee

This year’s RICS Scotland Annual Dinner was a significant one for team GLM as Ian McKee’s year as chairman of the professional body draws to a close. In celebration, the GLM staff attended suited and booted in support of Ian and his accomplishments during his tenure.

The evening kicked off at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow with drinks followed by dinner and speeches. The evening culminated in Ian’s much anticipated Chairman’s address in which he reflected on his year leading and representing the interests of RICS Scotland’s thousands of members. He addressed and reviewed progress on his key priorities for the year – inspiring the next generation, raising the profile of RICS and encouraging greater member engagement within the profession. Addressing the the GLM table, he thanked his fellow Directors and colleagues for their support and guidance throughout the year. The entertainment of the evening included drummers, pipers and a magician – a real treat!

The evening also played host to a charity raffle raising over £5,000 for The Polar Academy who offer young adults the opportunity to participate in a major Arctic expedition aiming to unlock the vast potential within young adults and turn them into positive role models for their community and families.
