GLM appointed to refurbish Castle on Island of Mull
We are delighted to have been appointed to design and project manage significant restoration works to the stunning Torosay Castle on the Island of Mull. This mansion, designed by the famous nineteenth century Scottish Baronial architect David Bryce, has had a lot of work done to it in the past but the work stopped short of what was required to fully stabilise the structure or, importantly in a place not unknown for driving rain, keep the water out. GLM were initially appointed last year to carry out a building condition survey. Next steps include a measured survey, a bat survey and the drawing up of a detailed package of structural, roofing and stonework repairs for tendering.
