GLM Appointed for Phase I of Nunraw Tower Regeneration
GLM is delighted to be taking on Phase I of the regeneration of Nunraw Tower in Garvald, East Lothian. Nunraw Tower is a Category ‘A’ listed building that dates back to the 16th century when it was built by the Hepburn Family. Today’s baronial mansion incorporates the 16th century tower house and was built in 1860 in castellated deep red sandstone. It was purchased by Cisterian Monks from Ireland in 1946 and functioned as a guest house for visitors on religious retreats to nearby Sancta Maria Abbey.
The property went on the market in September 2013 and the purchaser intends to convert the historic building into private accommodation. GLM has been appointed to carry out Phase I of the repairs which will include external stonework and roofing repairs and repairs to rainwater goods.
