Construction Management breaks the project down into discrete packages for which tenders are sought from specialists. GLM provides a Construction Manager, generally full time on site, to co-ordinate the individual packages. The client enters into direct contracts with the individual package contractors.
For projects suited to this approach it can provide a measure of control not always experienced through a main contractor approach, greater programming flexibility (and therefore speed) and there can be a saving in cost.
