We can live anywhere we please

Living in the western world in the 21st century we like to claim that we are free to choose how we live. We can eat anything we like. We can wear anything we want. We can live anywhere we please. But can we? We can eat anything we like so long as the supermarket sells it. We can wear anything we like so long as its hanging on a peg. We can live anywhere we like so long as the developer has built there first.

Employing an Architect and undertaking your own project is one of the few pleasures in life that really can be unique. The choice of materials is endless and the way these can be put together whether for a new build house, extension or refurbishment is equally endless. Yes, there are regulations to follow but these should never be viewed on as prohibitive. We certainly don’t.

As of February 2017 there are 7.4billion people in the world. Employ an Architect and be able to say that “My home is the only 1 like it in the whole world”.
