Abernethy Trust receives planning consent for 44 bed extension in Cairngorm National Park

GLM are pleased to announce that The Courtyard Project at the Abernethy Trust centre in Nethybridge has today received planning consent for an extension to the existing accommodation. The extension will see a new 44 bed accommodation block designed by the GLM Architecture and Interior Design team being constructed on the site.

Abernethy Nethybridge, where the extension is to be built, is one of four outdoor activity centres run by the charity.  It is located in the Spey Valley and part of the Cairngorm National Park in Highland Scotland. The centre already offers residential outdoor pursuit and adventure opportunities to a wide range people with the chance to try something new and gain skills.

The Courtyard project will provide modern accommodation and disabled access facilities for more groups, families and individuals to be able to experience the benefits of an Abernethy adventure but the £1.5 million price tag means that they need your help! To fund the extension, the Abernethy Trust are carrying out extensive fundraising.
